Tiverton, Wednesday 9th May

Nigel Lewis-Baker has raised a lot of awareness but little money, only £4,000 in online donations. Come on England!

Lots of radio interviews, quite a few press reports, yet our ‘Love Train’ John O’Groats to Land’s End Walk is struggling to raise any real online money. Our website (www.lovetrain.org.uk) has over 3,000 hits but not enough people are donating. If just half our visitors had gift aided us £5 we would have an extra £9,000 in the bank by now.

The Prostate Project Charity has admin costs of less than 3% so 97 pence in every pound you give us will go directly towards giving men a better chance of beating prostate cancer.

"It’s too late for me" says Nigel, "but please help me reach my £25,000 online target by texting UGXF50 £5 to 70070"

This heroic man is literally dying on his feet to help prevent more men being diagnosed too late as he was. He has given up 11 weeks of his limited lifespan to leave his wife and walk 1,000 miles from one end of the country to the other. He's raised a lot of awareness but little money. Now he's got just 150 miles to go to reach Land's End.

It really has been a massive effort by Nigel. He spends virtually every waking hour raising money and awareness for our charity. He’s been on the road since March 21st and we all desperately want him to reach his online fundraising goal of £25,000.

He’s got just 9 days left to achieve it. Hopefully coverage on BBC London and South and Points West News today will boost donations.

Please help him if you can.
